Uttar Pradesh to Begin Daily Monitoring of STPs — A Milestone in Wastewater Management

As of early 2025, Uttar Pradesh has a total of 152 operational STPs with a combined treatment capacity of 4,651 million liters per day (MLD). New Monitoring Framework

In response, the state government is setting up a dedicated STP Monitoring Cell under the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB).
